Courses

Agile EM offers a variety of courses and customized training covering the spectrum from introductory radar to designing countermeasures for the most modern electronic warfare platforms.

Electronic Countermeasures - Theory and Design

This course is designed to teach students about both the principles of countermeasures and how to design effective electronic attacks. Students explore the spectrum of EA techniques including range, velocity, and angle deception, along with noise jamming. They then learn to analyse threats and design an effective countermeasures using the latest techniques and platforms, from chaff to digital radio frequency memory jammers, and active decoys.

This course is aimed at professional audiences with an introductory background in EW.

Course Outline

ELINT - Principles and Practice

The goal of this course is to educate participants in the principles and practice of Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) for radar and communications systems. At the conclusion of these modules students will have an understanding of the theory behind ELINT and be able to apply it in practical scenarios. This includes estimating radar performance from ELINT, using it to develop countermeasures, and hacking communications channels. This course is composed of six modules designed with a progressive approach to learning the principles and practice of ELINT.

This course is aimed at professional audiences with an introductory background in EW.

Introduction to Electronic Warfare

This is a three day course that serves as an introduction to field of electronic warfare. It is targeted principally at members of the defence community, including, military, government, and industry, moving into the field of EW.

The objective of this course is to provide the students with an understanding of the principles, technology, and tactics of electronic warfare. Topics covered include sensors, electronic support, electronic protection, and electronic attack for radio frequency and infrared systems, along with the countermeasure development cycle.

Principles of Radar Systems

This is a four day course that serves as an introduction to radar systems and the associated technology with a focus on military applications. It is designed both as an introductio to radar and a starting point for further education in the related field of electronic warfare.

The goal of this course is to provide students with a systems level understanding of radar, while complementing this knowledge with more indepth aspects of radar systems, such as active electronically scanned arrays. Topics covered include: serach radar, tracking radar, RF propagation, the radar range equation, moving target indication, clutter, imaging radar, military applications, and an introduction to electronic warfare for radar systems.
